While not forgetting that style inspiration comes from many places, there are some that are more predominant like our favourite source the Parisian style inspiration.

Personal style is a peculiar topic. From the way that we decide how to match socks, sneakers or something completely different. The choices that we make are often not only rooted in our very own personality, but the icons, movements or rolemodels that we look towards. There are even often specific areas that are known to have a specific easily recognised style. You know these characteristics: The Italian suit embracing the Sprezzatura, the Parisian effortless sophisticated style and whereas Copenhageners, like ourselves, have a tendency towards cuddly black knitwear.
A Parisian chic look is something that we are often drawn towards. For me, Jon, it tends to rely in the oversized coats mixed with clean cuts. Something that in fact are quite similar to the Scandinavian design. However, the difference is to be found in the way the Parisian approach is more relaxed, a bit scruffy and much more adapted to the facets of life. And THIS is exactly is what inspires me. Because if style is to represents your personality, then it has to represent more than the clean cuts – yet in a contemporary manner.

Astrid’s approach toward style obviously differ but there are similarities.
Key characteristics of her style have a tendency to embrace the functionality which is often found in Scandinavian fashion – without becoming utilitarian. However, her preferences are dominated by central and southern European fashion with the embrace of colours and prints. As a touch the frequent baret pays tribute to the women roaming the Parisian streets. Sitting with their espresso or a glass of white Sancerre in Quatier Latin, Marais or Montmartre.
