As most Copenhageners know we’ve got one of the best bakeries in town here at Østerbro. I’m talking about the small Juno the Bakery on Århusgade – you’ll recognise the place from the always long queue outside. Especially Saturday and Sunday morning! They are known for their cardamon snurrer (a swedish inspired bun). They bake all day long just to keep up with the demands which means they always serve freshly baked pastries and bread.

At the counter – The new ‘it’ café at Østerbro
However, now there has come a new addition to the family as they recently opened a small café called At the counter located on Randersgade just across Boba Square (about 200 m from Juno). The interior is light, very nordic and the atmosphere is ambient and cosy. The menu is just a few dishes but that is all you need when the quality is this good. You can also get some of the pastries from the bakery and enjoy a good cup of coffee. We will definitely come back soon.
